Recalling all the T20I encounters between India and England in England

#3 - India vs England, Only T20I: Edgbaston

This encounter is from the vault of India's toughest overseas tour to England. India and England were contesting for the one-off T20I and the last match of the tour at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Eoin Morgan had won the toss and elected to bat first.

Eoin Morgan (71 off 31 balls), the now and then captain of the Englishmen, along with Alex Hales (40 off 25 balls) helped England to dominate the Indian bowling. Besides Eoin and Alex's knock, Bopara's 21 off 9 balls helped England to post a mammoth 180 for the loss seven wickets in 20 overs.

Despite some collective performances from Dhawan (33 off 28 balls), Kohli (68 off 41 balls), Raina (25 off 20 balls) and a late flurry from MS Dhoni (27 off 18 balls), Indian couldn't achieve the target as the England bowlers restricted India at 177 runs for five wickets in 20 overs. India lost the game by a mere margin of three runs. Eoin Morgan won the player of the match award for his swashbuckling knock of 71 off just 31 balls.
