Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait tied the knot with Mashoom Singha, an Indian model from Mumbai who was dating the 2007 ODI World Cup winner for four years, on June 12.

While the couple have always been open with their relationship status, Economic Times reported Mashoom saying that Tait had proposed her a year ago, back when they were in Paris.

“A lot of Shaun’s Australian friends came (to Mumbai) for the wedding. I wore an Anand Kabra ensemble for the Indian ceremony and Gaviin Miguel for the reception, teaming them with jewels by Queenie.”

On where the couple have planned to set up their future home, Mashoom said: "We'll be juggling our schedules between these cities."

Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan attended the event, and, since Mashoom’s sister Shamita is also a model, people from the fashion industry including Candice Pinto were also present. Squash player Ritwik Bhattacharya, who is married to model Pia Trivedi, is also one among the celebrities who turned up for the wedding in Mumbai.

Citing injury reasons, Tait has confined himself to T20 cricket after retiring from other formats the game. Tait has 62 ODI wickets and 28 T20 wickets in 35 and 19 matches respectively.
