Stats: Indian spinners remaining wicketless in a Test match

Ravichandran Ashwin goes wicketless for the second time in his short career

Here is a list of Test matches in which Indian spinners have remained wicketless throughout the entire duration of a Test match. Ravichandran Ashwin failed to pick up a single wicket in the just concluded Test match against South Africa at Johannesburg.

Coincidentally, the last time it happened featured Ashwin as the lead spinner too – the second Test match against Australia in Sydney 2012. Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh have never gone wicketless in any of their overseas Test matches. All eight instances have occurred outside India.
