Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians will face off in the 12th match of the VIVO IPL 2016 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal, Hyderabad today. Both teams are struggling in terms of form at the moment as Mumbai have lost 2 out of their 3 matches whereas SRH have not won a single match so far. The defending IPL champions MI are placed on the 6th spot in the 2016 IPL points table. On the other hand, the Hyderabad team are right at the bottom as they have still not earned any points in the two matches played by them.
SRH have not been up to the mark in this year's IPL as far as their performance is concerned. In their first match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, the bowlers conceded as many as 227 runs after skipper David Warner decided to field first. With the bat, too, they depended heavily on Warner and the innings fell apart once he was dismissed. Eventually, they lost the match by a huge margin of 45 runs. They also had a torrid time in the match against KKR at home managing to score just 142 in 20 overs and then conceding the match to their opponents by 8 wickets.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai Indians have had quite a rollercoaster ride in their 3 matches thus far. They were pummelled into submission by new franchise Rising Pune Supergiants in their very first game played at their fortress, the Wankhede Stadium. MI bounced back in the match against KKR at the Eden Gardens as they chased down a formidable target of 188 with relative ease and won the match by 6 wickets. Things went topsy-turvy for the 2015 champions in their next game as they were beaten by 3 wickets and once more, it was one of the new franchises who brought about their undoing, the Gujarat Lions.

Sunrisers Hyderabad squad:
The Sunrisers Hyderabad have a pretty strong team at their disposal with a number of top international performers in their ranks. Considering this, it is really a surprise that they are languishing at the bottom of the table in the 2016 IPL. SRH are, however, missing out on the services of their most high-profile signing this year, Yuvraj Singh. The batting depends a lot on the trio of southpaws - David Warner, Shikhar Dhawan and Eoin Morgan - who have failed to fire collectively for them. The bowling, too, looks pretty depleted as the other bowlers are failing to provide adequate support to new recruit Mustafizur Rahman. However, it is likely that the Hyderabad team will be sticking with the same combination for the MI game.
Mumbai Indians squad:
The Mumbai Indians have been pretty inconsistent in this season so far and will be looking to get things back on track in the match against the Sunrisers. One of their biggest worries for them has been the form of their star all-rounder Kieron Pollard, who has struggled with the bat and has not bowled a single delivery in the tournament so far. There may be a chance that skipper Rohit Sharma may want to replace him with a Martin Guptill or a Corey Anderson. The promotion of Hardik Pandya to No. 3 does not seem to be working and he can be pushed down the order to make room for someone like Guptill. The bowling has been quite decent, but the dependency on Mitchell McCleanaghan needs to be reduced.
