Suryakumar Yadav is an Indian cricketer. Popularly known as SKY, the right-handed batter is known for playing explosive knocks.
He made his Ranji Trophy debut in 2010 but earned his first international cap in 2021. He initially burst onto the scene after being picked by IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders. But he proved his mettle and bating prowess during four golden years with Mumbai Indians starting between 2018 and 2022, during which they won the IPL title twice. He contributed to the Mumbai franchise’s success with his 1700-plus runs at a strike rate of around 140.
After showcasing his skills at the FC level, SKY rose through the ranks of IPL, proving his prowess and eventually earning his spot in the national team amongst intense competition. Now with a string of clinical performances, the 32-year-old has cemented his spot and become and integral cog of the national side.
