Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019: When and where to watch, live streaming, telecast details, fixtures and squads

The 2019 edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will be an interesting precursor to the Indian Premier League. With the IPL and then the 2019 World Cup to follow, this tournament provides an opportunity for some of the leading Indian cricketers to hit top form.

Maharashtra won the inaugural Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (after the inter-state T20 tournament was rechristened) in 2009/10. Delhi won the tournament in 2018 by defeating Rajasthan in the final at Eden Gardens.

The 2019 edition sees a total of 37 teams divided into five groups. A whopping 140 matches will be played in the tournament. The top two sides from each group will progress to the Super League. The ten teams, who qualify to the next round, will be classified into two groups. The top two sides from each group will contest the final.

Schedule

The Group stage begins on February 21 and as many as 34 teams will be in action at various venues across the country. The matches continue on the 22nd, 24th, 25th and 27th and 28th. The final round of group matches will take place on March 2.

The Super League matches begin on March 8. The matches will continue on the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th. The all-important final is scheduled to take place on March 14. The venue for the title clash is yet to be decided.

Telecast and Live Streaming Details

Since there will be many matches taking place simultaneously, not all of them will be broadcast live. Selected matches will be broadcast live on Star Sports 2 and Star Sports 2 HD.

Hotstar will offer live streaming for selected matches in the Group stage as well as in Super League phase.
