Even after scoring 21 Test centuries, Virat Kohli was constantly reminded of his darkest phase during the English tour of 2014. The eyes were on Virat when India went to England earlier this summer; the vultures were roaming around under-pressured Virat. His celebrations after running Joe Root out showed his determination to succeed in this conditions.

But, Kohli had some other plans! He was moving inexorably towards his test ton. On the score of 97, he punched a short one from Stokes through point for a four and roared in celebration.
But, this was not enough. With the Indian tail at disposal and India far away from England's total, Virat went on to score a match-defining 149. A gem of an Inning! One of the best by any visiting batsman in England.
