Shane Warne and Marlon Samuels were involved in an ugly confrontation in a Big Bash League match in January 2013. Samuels angered the hosts during Melbourne Renegades innings when he allegedly grabbed David Hussey while he was turning to take his 2nd run and Warne let him know about that incident when came into bat.
In a verbal duel picked up by the microphone, Warne criticised Samuels for his unsporting behaviour and ran up to him to grab his shirt and jabbed his figure in his face. Tempers reached the boiling point in the next over when Warne threw back a ball at Samuels fielding in a close quarter even when the batsman was well within his crease. The incident angered Samuels as he threw his bat over Warne’s head before umpires rushed in to calm the situation.
