This man needs no introduction. The master blaster, regarded by many as the greatest batsman of all time, has a plethora of records to his name. In addition to being the highest run-getter in the history of World Cup, he has also won the most Man of the Match awards.

His first Man of the Match awards came against India's arch-rivals Pakistan, who were also the champions of the tournament. With the bat, Sachin scored an unbeaten half-century to take India to a decent total of 216. During the chase, he took the crucial wicket of Pakistan's highest run-getter of the match, Amir Sohail and helped India win the match by 43 runs.

Sachin had a particular liking for playing against the neighboring nation and has won two more Man of the Match awards playing against them in 2003 and 2011. In the opening match of the 2003 World Cup, Saeed Anwar's century gave Pakistan's campaign as they registered a decent total of 273.

On the other hand, Sachin Tendulkar couldn't get to a hundred but his fiery 98 off just 75 balls got off India to a flying start. While Sachin got out with India nearly needing a hundred runs to win, Rahul Dravid and Yuvraj Singh ensured that India won the match comfortably by six wickets.

Sachin's last and perhaps the most important Man of the Match award came against Pakistan in the semi-final of the 2011 World Cup. It was Sachin's half-century that held the Indian innings together as other Indian batsmen failed to capitalize on good starts.

As a result of the master's efforts, India posted a total of 260 in the first innings. During the chase, all the Indian bowlers contributed to the team's victory by taking two wickets apiece. After failing to win the World Cup on five occasions, Sachin finally got his hands on the coveted trophy on 2 April 2011 by beating Sri Lanka in the finals.
