Venues declared for India's tour of Australia in 2014

As noted earlier, India are set to tour Australia in the 2014-15 season. Cricket Australia, the country’s governing body for cricket, has named Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne as the venues for the four Test matches that are to be played.

According to IBN Live, CA Chief Executive James Sutherland said the venues for the Test matches were decided based on the complex schedules, which even comprises of the ICC World Cup jointly organised Down Under by Australia and New Zealand.

Perth remained a notable absentee among the venues that were decided.

“Unfortunately due to the unique nature of the schedule next season, with a World Cup year, there was going to be a couple of States disappointed about our Test match allocation,” Sutherland was quoted as saying.

India tour Australia for four Tests and a tri-series tournament also involving England.
