It was back in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 that England were kicked out of the tournament by a Mahmudullah inspired Bangladesh. The fifteen run defeat at the Adelaide Oval sparked a renaissance in England's ODI fortunes.

Eoin Morgan at the press conference prior to today's clash didn't give credit to Bangladesh for the transformation in his team's growth as a force to reckon with in ODI cricket. Now they are the # 1 ranked side in the world, but the way they approached their ODI game has seen a tremendous change.

England would be up against the same side who pushed them out of the last World Cup. This would be certainly be playing in the minds of players who were part of the last World Cup squad like Eoin Morgan, Joe Root, Moen Ali and Chris Woakes.

They would want to show exactly how well they have progressed as an ODI team by putting on a convincing performance today. The additional motivation of getting revenge for what Bangladesh did to them four years back would energize them even further.
