7 upcoming gacha games to look forward to in 2025

2025 is becoming an amazing year for gacha game enthusiasts. Multiple titles are coming this year, from open-world and exploration to action role-playing games. Some titles have already conducted closed beta tests (CBT) and have a release date. Others are starting their CBT, showing gameplays, and have an expected launch date. That said, all titles are expected to arrive in 2025.

We’ve compiled the seven best gacha games that are worth waiting for this year, in our opinion.

1) Duet Night Abyss

Duet Night Abyss is an upcoming gacha game that features two protagonists. The title has anime-style aesthetics, a decent English voiceover, music, and warfare-inspired gameplay with gacha mechanics. Players can seamlessly switch from melee to ranged combat styles during battles.

The developers at PAN Studio have yet to announce the official release date for Duet Night Abyss. However, it is expected to be released later in 2025. Its second closed beta test is scheduled to run from June 12 until July 12, 2025.

The title is also open for pre-registration, and interested users can pre-register from the title’s official website. There are several pre-registration milestone rewards, including a free character, Berenica.

2) Arknights Endfield

Arknights Endfield is a spin-off of the popular tower-defense gacha game Arknights. However, Endfield is set on a new planet called Talos-II and has its own storyline. The title features semi-open world exploration mechanics, base-building, and resource management systems. Players will use up to four Operators, switching between them during battles.

Arknights Endfield will be available for PC and mobile devices. It is expected to be released in 2025; however, Hyperglyph has yet to announce the official exact launch date. The title concluded its closed beta test in February 2025.

3) Ananta

Previously known as Project Mugen, Ananta is the upcoming gacha game developed by Naked Rain with NetEase Montreal and published by NetEase. It features an urban open world with day and night cycles.

This title allows players to swim, ride vehicles, climb walls and other high grounds, and parkour around the city. The characters can also swing between skyscrapers like Spider-Man, using ropes.

Ananta will be released for PC, Android, PlayStation 5, and iOS devices. The developers conducted an offline Technical Test in Hangzhou in January. The title’s official website mentions that online tests are launching soon. Players can secure Vanguard status from the title’s official Discord channels and get first dibs on the title’s future tests.

4) Silver Palace

Silver Palace is one of the most awaited gacha games set to arrive in 2025. It is an action role-playing game developed by Silver Studio and published by Elementa. This gacha title is another open-world game in this list that will be available for PC and mobile devices.

Players can use grappling hooks, special horses that fly in the air, and more to travel across its map. The developers have released the title’s trailer and gameplay showcase video.

They’ve also opened pre-registration on the title's official website. Its combat features special QTE combos and switching between characters. Players can also switch between ranged and melee combat styles during battles.

5) Neverness to Everness

Neverness to Everness (NTE) is an upcoming gacha game by Hotta Studio, the maker behind Tower of Fantasy. It is an open-world title, featuring the supernatural city of Hethereau. Players can explore the city on foot or using vehicles, such as bikes, cars, and trains. Moreover, they can customize their vehicles, buy houses, manage a business, and more.

The title will be available for PC and mobile devices at launch. Hotta Studio is conducting the title’s closed beta test, dubbed Containment Test, from July 3 to July 16, 2025. Note that the Closed Beta Test is only available for PC devices, and players can use PS5 DualSense, PS4, DUALSHOCK 4, Xbox Wireless & Xbox Elite controllers.

Azure Promilia is an open-world title with a unique feature, allowing players to tame the fantastical creatures. The creature companions can help players farm for resources and fight enemies in battles. The title is developed by Manjju, the creator of Azure Lane, and is a spin-off of the same. Players can pre-register for the title on its official website.

Aside from a trailer on the title’s official YouTube channel and an offline playtest in China, Manjju hasn’t revealed anything about the title. Azure Promilia will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS devices.

7) Persona 5: The Phantom X

Persona 5: The Phantom X, the gacha game based on Persona 5, has announced the official global release date of June 26, 2025. It has been available since April 2024 in Macau, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea.

The Phantom X uses various gameplay features, like the Persona 5 title released in 2016. However, The Phantom X has a new story that follows the adventures of a new protagonist called Wonder. Additionally, players can use gacha mechanics to obtain various other characters. The title will be playable on Android, iOS, and PC devices.
