Ahead of the CS2 ESL Pro League Season 20, the ESL Counter-Strike group posted all the teams attending the prestigious tournament, commencing from September 3, 2024, to September 22, 2024. CS2 enthusiasts around the world will witness teams participating from different regions (Europe, Asia, Pacific, South, and North America) to get their hands on the shiny trophy. Moreover, there is a massive prize pool of $750,000 involved.

Format of the ESL Pro League Season 20

Following the previous ESL tournament trends, CS2 ESL Pro League Season 20 will possess eight teams, divided into four groups. All the matches in the group stage will follow the standard BO3 format while maintaining the four triple elimination format.

Among the eight participating teams from four groups, the top four from the table will qualify for the playoff stage of the tournament. However, there’s a catch. The top team from each group will qualify directly for the Quarterfinals. The runners-up will qualify for the RO12 (Round of 12) with high seeds.

On the other hand, the third and fourth teams will advance to the RO 16 (Round of 16) stage with higher and lower seeds respectively.

With that in mind, let’s talk about the structure of the playoff stage. It will follow the traditional single elimination bracket and the matches will be BO3, except the Grand Final. The Final match of ESL Pro League Season 20 will be played in a BO5 format.
