Currently in rotation, TDM, Gun Run, and Control will receive some changes with the latest season of Apex Legends.Besides visual changes such as the new podium screens and the team's MVPs on the intro podium, a variety of quality-of-life upgrades have been implemented into the Mixtape playlist. These changes incorporate XP bonuses for match completion, penalties for leavers, disabling penalties for unfair matches, and much more.The Mixtape playlist has been a great addition to the game in the previous season, promoting a more casual and relaxing experience for players. With an upgraded SBMM system, players would be matched with equally skilled opponents for better match-ups and more fun duels.Numerous changes to the LTMs have been made, and they are discussed in better detail below:Apex Legends Control changesThe primary change that has been implemented in Control is the weapon evo change. Player-equipped weapons will not automatically transition to a better degree upon reaching a new Rating Tier.The updated weapon tier will be implemented when the player holsters and re-equips their weapon in any form. Players could simply reload, switch weapons, ride ziplines, or do movement tech to gain access to the upgraded weapon evo.Furthermore, Olympus: Hammond Labs will replace Barometer for the upcoming season's control game mode.Apex Legends TDM changesTeam Deathmatch has not received any significant changes besides a mere change in the map rotation. Phase Runner has been swapped in for Skulltown in the upcoming season of Apex Legends.XP Bonus will also be awarded to players for completion of matches, whether they join a fresh match or a match in progress.Apex Legends Gun Run changesThe weapon track has been updated for new care-package weapons in the playlist.
