Finding Easter eggs is something gamers have always enjoyed doing. In this rendition, Guerilla Games gives the nod to Kratos and the God of War lore with these fantastical Easter eggs. There are three items that players can find, with a fourth one awarded to players upon collecting all three of the other items.

Finding the War Totems

Of course, the War Totems are a perfect fit for players looking for an Easter egg that can pay homage to the God of War series. Players must find three on the following list:

  • Totem of War (Kratos easter egg)
  • Totem of Youth (Atreus easter egg)
  • Totems of Brotherhood (Brok and Sindri easter egg)
  • Once players discover all three totems, they can unlock a cosmetic item, the Mark of War Legendary Face Paint, a replica of Krato's face paint that players can have Aloy equip.

To find this item, players will want to head to a cabin located at a Sunwing Machine Camp at the top of a waterfall in the Sheerside Mountains Sunken Cavern. Players will have to face a few different enemies when they reach the cabin. Upon dispatching them, players will need to enter the shed next to the cabin. Upon entering, players will discover the Totem of War (Kratos).

To get the Totem of Youth, players will need to travel south to the Isle of Spires area and look for the Stormbird Machine Site, which is located in the northwest.

If players head east from the Stormbird Machine Site, they will find a broken-down bus. Players should pass the bus and head south to find another bus they can grapple on top of to claim the Totem of Youth (Atreus).

Players will need to head southeast to The Spinebreak location and look for the nearby Frost Glinkhawk Machine site located up the island. Head north from that island to locate a Widemaw with a Heavy Hammer on its head. While examining the hammer, follow a trail that will lead them to find the Totems of Brotherhood (Brok and Sindri).

Obtaining the Mark of War Legendary Face Paint

Once players have found all three of the God of War Easter eggs, they will need to head into a Tenakth settlement and speak with a painter who can apply the new look for 10 shards. Players can then live out their God of War fantasy within the world of Horizon Forbidden West.
