Korok seeds are some of the best items in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, as they allow the player to increase the size of their inventory. Adding more slots means players can carry more items and gear like melee weapons, shields, and bows. While Link does get a decent amount of inventory space at the beginning of the game, it just isn't enough to carry the player to the end of their adventure.

Unlike many items in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Korok seeds aren’t a new addition to the series. These items played a crucial role in the previous entry, Breath of the Wild, as well. Therefore, most players will know how to put them to use in the game. However, this article will help guide those who might be new to the franchise and help them increase their inventory to hold all their juicy loot in Tears of the Kingdom.

Koroks are friendly spirits in the game’s universe. There are over 900 Korok seeds that you can get in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. To get these seeds, you must explore the game's world and search for unique sets of puzzles.

Some of these puzzles will have you lifting rocks and placing them inside slots specifically crafted for them, while others will require you to clear a certain area to reveal a Korok. Once you solve these puzzles, the spirit will pop out, and you’ll obtain the Korok seed.

Once you’ve obtained a specific amount of Korok seeds in TOTK, you must start looking for a Korok trader. Fans of the previous game will be ecstatic to see the return of Hestu, the same seed merchant you’ll find in Breath of the Wild. Hestu is an adorable Korok who is known for playing the maraca.

Hestu can be found in three locations in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. The first is on the road that leads to the magnificent Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower, a structure found in the region of Hyrule. This is also the first time you’re bound to encounter the trader, at least if you align your travels with the main storyline of the game.

The second location to find Hestu is Lookout Landing, a village near Hyrule Castle. While you're in the area, exploring the castle might not be such a bad area as it possesses pieces of the Royal Guard armor set within it. You can find this area in the North Hyrule Field region of the map.

The third and final location for Hestu to appear in is Korok Forest. To get to this area, you’ll need to navigate through the confusing pathways in the Lost Woods while battling several enemies.

Once you’ve arrived at Hestu’s location, you can exchange your Korok seeds with him for additional inventory slots. However, remember that this system doesn’t rely on one Korok seed granting a single inventory slot. Every exchange with Hestu will cost more Korok seeds, so carry multiple whenever you want to exchange.

The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is the latest installment in the extremely popular Legend of Zelda video game series. Ever since the release of Ocarina of Time, which was the franchise’s first 3D game, titles like Breath of the Wild have been responsible for snatching up some of the biggest awards in the gaming industry, so Tears of the Kingdom receiving star-studded reviews from every outlet and user isn’t surprising.
