Additionally, HoYoverse has announced a new permanent game mode called Apocalyptic Shadow. Their details are as follows:

Simulated Universe Major Update

The Simulated Universe in Honkai Star Rail will undergo a huge update in terms of gameplay. It will be presented as Divergent Universe, where combinations between Blessings and Curios will curate various unique effects.

Here are the key features coming with the update:

  • Rapid Planar Ornament procurement function: A quick claim functionality will be available for obtaining Planar Ornaments. Additionally, a Save File feature will be added, allowing players to directly challenge bosses.
  • New Divergent Universe rewards: Completing the Divergent Universe will reward leveling materials, along with the weekly points.
  • A Restart Challenge button: Trailblazers will get the option to restart their current battle in case they make any mistakes. This will also restore any Technique Points used.

New permanent game mode Apocalyptic Shadow

In the Apocalyptic Shadow game mode, players will engage in tough challenges facing previously encountered enemies. However, there will be slight differences in the case of enemy bosses. The end goal here is to secure more scores to obtain rewards.

Listed below are the features of Apocalyptic Shadow:

  • The new game mode will undergo scheduling shifts along with Pure Fiction and the Memory of Chaos.
  • Apocalyptic Shadow will also introduce team setup function optimization, where a composition can be set up in advance as presets. There will be a drag-and-drop feature to transfer characters.

Another new upcoming feature includes the option to view a team setup used by a friend to clear endgame content. Players should also be able to check the gear of their companions and consult them about lineups via a new system.
