The Casting of Frank Stone Chapter 9 takes players back to the younger version of Linda in the year 1980, right after she came face to face with the serial killer Frank Stone. Still located in the Steel Mill, Linda is in the vicinity of the titular antagonist of the story. After we get control of Linda, it will be up to us to guide her out of danger through The Casting of Frank Stone Chapter 9.
This chapter plays out extremely differently based on whether you got hooked while trying to escape the Wagon Shed. Every choice you make will have its respective consequences, which can heavily dictate what path the story of the game takes.
In this article, we shall shed some light on The Casting of Frank Stone Chapter 9 and how players can get through it, while taking into account any collectible items that you may come across.
The Casting of Frank Stone Chapter 9: Linda escaped
If you were able to escape Frank by getting the forklift to work in time, you will get control of Linda in a bathroom, where you need to find a door to leave. After sneaking under the lockers that can be found on the right side, turn around and look to the right side again to spot another locker which will reward you with a key.
Crawl back again under the lockers, take a right, and squeeze through a crack in a wall to go and unlock another locker. If you can find it correctly, you will be able to examine the Grandmother Letter Artifact. After collecting this Artifact, hop over the lockers on the right side to open the double doors. Following this, inspect the boilers in front of you. These require repair and we will discuss below how you can get around to doing so.
The Casting of Frank Stone Chapter 9: Boiler room parts
Return to the locker area, climb over the fallen locker, and retrieve a valve from one of the already-opened lockers. The second valve can be found in the bathroom that we come across as Linda at the beginning of the chapter if she is able to escape.
After acquiring both valves, make your way back to the boilers and fix them so you can exit through the blocked entryway. After opening this door, head down a flight of stairs and through a door. From here, take a right at the junction to pick up Merlin's collar. This is how you will acquire the Bad Dog Trophy.

The Casting of Frank Stone Chapter 9: Linda got hooked
If you were caught by Frank Stone in the Wagon Shed (at the worst turn of events), Chapter 9 will become a short sequence to get through. Bonnie will help unhook you, and you will exit the courtyard together during a cutscene.
Once outside, Frank will come around once again, and in a hurry, you must climb a ledge to escape him once more. Linda pulls Bonnie up, and the narrative ends with the two of them surviving. However, if Jaime is still alive during this point in the game, you must go through a QTE (quick time event) where you need to pull him up as well. Upon failing this QTE, Jamie will take his last breath as Frank finishes him off.

The Casting of Frank Stone Chapter 9: Frank's Nest
From where you acquired the Bad Dog Trophy, keep heading forward until you can find a space where you need to crouch under a shutter and crawl beneath some pipes. Here, you will come across two doors - the right door will be locked, and the left one will be accessible.
Enter through the left door, and crawl under an arch, to finally get access to the right side room. The Frank's Journal Artifact is located on the desk immediately to your right. After you collect this Artifact, pull back the metal panel at the end of the room to reveal a hidden area, which is Frank Stone's nest. In this room, you can acquire Doctor Dead by Daylight Doll, which is another collectible item.
When you're finished, return to the hallway and take a right to reach a ladder that will lead you back to the Furnace and become the concluding step for this chapter.
