It was a miraculous performance from Jenson Button

It was one of the wettest races in decades, it was a race that had everything, it was the race of Jenson Button's life.

The 2011 Canadian Grand Prix was a race that paused many people's thoughts on the season so far.

A dominant Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull was making the championship rather dull for the F1 supporters.

Nearly halfway through the season, the German was the man to beat and was looking to add to his 2010 driver's championship.

But on June 12, 2011, A miracle had landed in Montreal.

The stormy weather hit the race very dramatically which would see the race red flagged for over two hours after 26 laps.

The fans were not left disappointed as the race resumed as Button was having nightmares throughout.

Before the race had stopped, Button and his team-mate Lewis Hamilton had collided on the straight leaving the 2008 world champion out of the race.

Button was then given a drive-through penalty for speeding behind the safety car.

Ferrari's Fernando Alonso then collided with Button's car after the restart seeing the Spaniard retire from the race.

This left Button with a puncture and had to head to the pits, again. He rejoined from the back of the leaderboard.

If there's any driver that is good in the wet, it's Jenson Button.

The Briton climbed up the order and with six laps to go, he overtook Mark Webber for P3.

Michael Schumacher was overtaken by Button for P2.

The final lap had Button hunting down the championship leader.

Vettel was just a few corners away from winning another race in 2011 but the pressure got to him as he lost grip of the track allowing Button to pass and win arguably the greatest race of all time.

It's a race you can watch again and again!
