Grand Prix of Brazil
Stefan Johansson secured two podiums at the Belgian Grand Prix

Stefan Johansson came to prominence during the 1985 season while driving for the Scuderia Ferrari. The Swede took two consecutive podiums at Canada and Detroit that year and finished the championship in the seventh place. Johansson took the second place at the Detroit Grand Prix after starting the race from the ninth place.

Still driving for the Ferrari, Johansson finished the 1986 season in the fifth place with four third-place finishes. However, the Swedish driver switched teams and moved to McLaren the following season.

The 1987 German Grand Prix was very memorable for the Swede as he managed to cross the finish line in the second place on only three tyres, as he had suffered a puncture on the last lap. That season, all of Johansson's five podiums came after starting the race from the heart of the midfield.

Stefan Johansson's third place at the 1987 Portuguese Grand Prix was his last before the Swedish rider retired from the sport in 1991.
