Heading to the halfway mark of the season is an interesting time to take a look at the top 5 delinquents on the grid in terms of the F1 penalty points. This season all eyes were on Max Verstappen when he got tantalizingly close to the 12-point threshold. If a driver accrues 12 points, they get banned for a race.

Kevin Magnussen had to suffer that fate last season, as the Haas driver had to sit out of the race in Baku because of this. The driver that replaced him last season also finds himself on the list of delinquents. Ollie Bearman is getting surprisingly close to the threshold point and would have to be more careful in how he races. With that being said, as we get ready for the F1 Belgian GP, let's take a look at the top 5 delinquents in terms of penalty points.
