Lewis Hamilton congratulated Coco Gauff after her impressive win at the 2025 French Open. Hamilton, from his official Instagram account, shared a post of Gauff on his story and congratulated her with a "well done" message.
Gauff of the United States outclassed Belarus' Aryna Sabalenka 6-7, 6-2, 6-4 to win the French Open on Saturday. Gauff is currently ranked second in the WTA ranking, behind Sabalenka, the No. 1 player.
After Coco Gauff claimed the French Open title, she uploaded a series of pictures on her official Instagram account. In the post, she let her emotions flow after the massive victory in one of the most prestigious tennis tournaments. She wrote:
"Wow. This means so much to me truly. Fench open champion. I worked so hard for this moment and for it to have happened is insane. Thank you God and thank you everyone. This means the world.... I'm still in shock honestly can't find the words but all I can say for now is just thank you and never give up on your dreams."
After coming across the post, Hamilton shared it as a story and wrote:
"Huge. Well done. @cocogauff"

While Gauff has excelled on the court, Hamilton hasn't quite done the same on the track. The seven-time world champion, who joined Ferrari this season, faced a couple of tough outings, most recently in Spain.
The British driver, who started the race from P5, dropped a place and came home in P6. Keeping out Max Verstappen's timed penalty, Hamilton would have been a place down further. Compared to him, his teammate, Charles Leclerc, finished the race in P3 after starting from P7.
F1 expert terms Canadian GP 'critical' for Lewis Hamilton

Former F1 driver and Sky Sports F1 expert Karun Chandhok believes the upcoming Canadian GP would be 'critical' for Lewis Hamilton. He said (via Sky Sports):
"It's starting to get a bit critical. We're coming into the second third of the season now, and he's not finding the rhythm. He's not finding consistency where week in, week out, he's in a happy place of the car."
"In Imola, he was woeful in qualifying, then suddenly the car's brilliant in the race. In Monaco, he wasn't quite there. He was a chunk behind Charles throughout. There's got to be a degree of concern creeping in," Chandhok added.
Lewis Hamilton is in P6 in the drivers' championship with 71 points, while his teammate, Charles Leclerc, is in P5 with 94 points. McLaren's Oscar Piastri leads the title battle with 186 points, ahead of his teammate, Lando Norris, with 176 points.
