Piastri was born on April 6, 2001, in Melbourne, Victoria, to Chris and Nicole Piastri. The 24-year-old is the oldest of four siblings and has three younger sisters named Hattie, Edie, and Mae Piastri. Everyone from the Piastri family has been to Oscar Piastri's F1 races, especially during the Australian GPs.

Piastri's father, Chris Piastri, laid the foundation of the McLaren driver's racing journey. Piastri Sr. owns HP Tuners, an automotive hardware and software tuning company. He founded the company in 2003.

As Piastri Sr's company gained momentum, he actively invested in his son's racing career and supported his racing dream. HP Tuners was the official sponsor of the McLaren star throughout his F3 and F2 journey.

Since Motorsports isn't cheap, having his father's company as a financial back-up worked perfectly for Oscar Piastri. As per reports via the Sydney Morning Herald, Piastri Sr. spent around $50,000 a year during his son's karting days, which was followed by $1-$1.2 million during Formula Renault to Formula 3 days.

Surprisingly, the sum ended up being $6.5 million before the Australian driver entered F1. In a nutshell, Chris Piastri's strong financial support acted perfectly to make what Piastri has become today. Aside from his father, Nicole Piastri, Oscar Piastri's mother, has also supported her son throughout.

From managing everything back at home to being present on the racetrack to supporting her son, Nicole Piastri was everywhere. In addition to the parents, his sisters, Hattie, Edie, and Mae, were also quite supportive of their brother.
