Real Madrid v Ajax - UEFA Champions League Round of 16: Second Leg
The Dutch side are on course for a fantastic treble, if they can maintain their current momentum in all competitions. Erik ten Hag has brilliantly set up his young team to be both sparkling and ruthless with equal efficiency and the results have been speaking for themselves.

Ajax are already in the final of the KNVB Cup, where they shall face Willem II in May. The two sides have already met twice in the League and Ajax have won both games, including this past weekend's 4-1 away win. After scoring 17 goals in 5 games in the tournament, ten Hag's men are favorites to lift the Cup.
In the league, competition is a bit tighter. Ajax are currently at the top of the table, but only by virtue of a better goal difference. PSV Eindhoven and Ajax are tied on 71 points from 29 games, but Ajax have a goal difference of +74 compared to PSV's +65. Interestingly, Ajax have scored 100 goals in 29 games in the league. With just 5 games left till the end of the season, this one could go down to the wire, but Ajax will be favorites to claim the prize.

In the Champions League though, the Dutch side are the underdogs going into the quarter-finals. They face a prudent Juventus side, who have Ronaldo returning from injury. But as they had shown against Real Madrid, Ajax are no pushovers, so this tie could be more balanced than would appear to the normal eye.
Ajax have already won the treble once, in the 71/72 season, and they could very well repeat the feat this season.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
