Claudio Marchisio is officially a Juventus legend

Claudio Marchisio is one of the only one-club men left in world football today. The former Juventus midfielder has only ever represented the Old Lady during his footballing life (although he did have a couple of loan spells at the beginning of his career), but now looks set to don new colors, as Newcastle United are one of the clubs lurking for his signature.

Claudio's vision in midfield and his control of both the attack and defense in the final thirds of the game was one of the main reasons why Juventus rose to greatness in the last decade or so.

His presence in Turin would surely be missed by Il Bianconeri, even though the club brought in ample reinforcements.

Marchisio would certainly raise excitement amongst fans if he joins a Premier League club, and is almost guaranteed to have an immediate impact for the club.

Kevin De Bruyne's long-term injury means there's a gap in their midfield, which needs to be filled. He would also be a perfect replacement for the aging Fernandinho as a holding midfielder, a position Guardiola's been trying to strengthen ever since his tenure, so Manchester City would be a perfect destination for a player of his quality.
