Pogba and Kante are vital for their sides

Two of the Premier League's heavyweight clubs collide on Saturday in the FA Cup final, as Chelsea take on Manchester United at Wembley.

The Red Devils have had an average season this campaign and Mourinho will be eager to pick up their first piece of silverware this season.

In what promises to be a close battle, here are three key battles that could decide Saturday's Wembley showpiece.

#3 Paul Pogba vs N'Golo Kante

The battle of the Frenchmen, at the middle of the park, will determine not only the flow of the game but could decide the game. The player who overshadows the other on the day will likely help guide his team to a massive victory over a giant rival.

With both men named in Didier Deschamps squad for France, they will play alongside each other at the World Cup. However, on Saturday one will look to get the better of the other and provide his team with a better chance at winning the contest.

Both players have got the better of each other in previous meetings and will be a closely fought encounter between two of the best midfielders in the league. With solid pace, passing, work rate and break up play, Kante could halt Pogba's galloping runs. While Pogba could creatively outplay Kante by controlling the ball and the game, as it promises to be an intriguing battle.

#2 Alexis Sanchez vs Eden Hazard

Hazard and Sanchez battle for the ball

Two time FA Cup winner with Arsenal, Alexis Sanchez will be a key player for Manchester United against Chelsea at Wembley. An experienced player in the competition, Sanchez admitted to a dip in form since his arrival at United but is a sure starter in the final.

Sanchez's goal and assist against Spurs in the semi-final took the club to the final. On his day, the Chilean is a hard man to stop if given space and could be a thorn in Chelsea's side if Moses and co do not contain the player.

Chelsea, on the other hand, has a trump card of their own in Eden Hazard who could rip United's defence into pieces like he has done before on a few occasions. A crafty skilful dribbler, the Belgian will have to be carefully marked by a United player and not given enough room. The star player on each side can make the difference in games like these and are the occasions when great players turn up.

#1 Antonio Valencia vs Marcos Alonso

Alonso vs Valencia

Manchester United vice-captain Antonio Valencia has been a rock at the back and a big attacking threat going forward. But the Ecuadorian will come up against a fullback in Chelsea's Alonso who is as good defensively and more potent goal threat going forward.

The two wide players have been converted into fullbacks by their managers and have excelled in the position. Two of the best out an out wide players in the Premier League, it will be an intriguing battle between the two players.

Due to the style in which they are deployed, Valencia in a back four and Alonso a wide man in a back five, the players will need to be on their top game or one will get the better of the other. A fascinating contest is on the cards and it will be an engrossing contest and game to watch.
