3 players who can replace Tiemoue Bakayoko at Chelsea

Tiémoué Bakayoko has become a constant source of frustration for Chelsea fans this season. The Frenchman was signed to replace Nemajic Matic, and things haven't gone as per the plan for him.

He cost Chelsea £40 million in the summer and he was an expensive signing from last season's Ligue 1 winner Monaco. Though all his other former Monaco teammates have prospered at their respective roles in the clubs they have since moved to, he has been struggling really bad.

He has constantly given away possession and rarely tracks back to recover the ball. His positioning and marking have also been suspect. Antonio Conte has trusted the youngster time and again only to be disappointed time and time again.

If things do not change for him, Chelsea would need a new midfielder to play alongside Kante and provide him the freedom to roam forward. Here's a look at 3 such players who can replace Bakayoko at Chelsea adequately:

#3 Jean-Michael Seri

Antonio Conte is reportedly a big fan of the midfielder.

The Ivorian midfielder had his breakthrough season last year with OGC Nice, and since then he hasn't looked back.

In the summer he was linked to FC Barcelona and Arsenal, and many even went to the extent of comparing him to FC Barcelona's legend Xavi. However, he was rejected by Bracelona after his medical examination turned out to be below expectation.

His main strength is his passing ability - something which Bakoyoko lacks terribly. This season, Seri has a passing rate of 90.9%. He also has a knack for killer passes, and is very good at delivering through balls.

He has a release clause of €40 million and it is believed that Antonio Conte is a big fan of the midfielder and views him as an ideal replacement for the misfiring Frenchman. Chelsea are likely to face competition from Man City and PSG, as both will be in need of a defending mifielder.

#2 Jorginho

Jorginho looks like a perfect partner for Kante.

The Italian has been superb for Napoli this season, as they look to end Juventus' dominance in Serie A.

At the age of 26, he has plenty of years left in him at the top level. The midfielder is a top passer, an effective tackler, intercepts very well and he hardly loses concentration in the game. His style of play should suit Chelsea and he looks like the perfect partner for Kante.

If Chelsea sign Jorginho, he can provide an extra attacking option as well as provide some defensive cover to Kante - something Kante has had very little of after Matic departed.

Chelsea are likely to face competition from Manchester United for the talented midfielder, but Antonio Conte's Italian connection could come to Chelsea's aid, assuming the Italian stays for the next year.

#1 Aaron Ramsey

Aaron Ramsey should be an upgrade forBakaoko.

Aaron Ramsey's current contract with Arsenal ends in 2018 and Arsenal could be forced to sell him if they want to avoid another Robin Van Persie or Alexis Sanchez contract situation.

He is just 27 years old and is about to reach the peak of his footballing powers. He has been crafted into a box to box midfielder by Arsene Wenger and he has played plenty of football at the top level.

Unlike the other players, Ramsey has the experience of having played in the PL and it will be of immense value, meaning that he doesn't require time to adapt to the physicality of the League.

He likes to break up the play and start attacks for his team and his fitness is the key to it. He can contribute to the attack of his team as well as he can contribute defensively. He also has a good relationship on the field with Chelsea's winter signing, Oliver Giroud.

Chelsea are considering a move for the Welsh international, as they look to strengthen their midfield. He should definitely be an upgrade on Bakayoko, and a very good one at that.
