Aaron Ramsey: A Brief Biography

Aaron James Ramsey is a Welsh footballer from Wales who plays for Arsenal and captains the Wales National Football Team. He played for Cardiff City as a schoolboy where he spent eight years in youth football. Ramsey made his first league appearance on 6th October of the season 2007-08 and scored his first league goal in a 3–3 draw against Burnley on 26th April. Ramsey signed his first professional contract in December 2007 and went on to make his first full professional start for Cardiff on 5 January in the FA Cup against Chasetown. He scored his first league goal in a one-on-one against goalkeeper David James as Arsenal beat Portsmouth 4–1 on 22nd August. Ramsey was loaned out to Nottingham Forest on 25 November 2010 until 3 January 2011. returned to Cardiff City in a one month loan move in order to gain match fitness. On August, 2011, Aaron Ramsey signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal. Ramsey was selected to compete athe 2012 Olympic Football Tournament for the British team as one of five Welsh players.
