Barcelona confirmed the signing of Frenkie De Jong in their social media sites and have added another young starlet to their midfield for years to come. The announcement of this deal has made Barcelona stacked with midfielders, with a mix of youth and experience in their squad.

The likes of Sergio Busquets, Ivan Rakitic, and Arturo Vidal are in the wrong side of 30 and although they haven't started a majorly decline, some of these stars will have to make way for the younger players.

With a potential midfield trio of Arthur, Frenkie and a reported deal in place for Rabiot, Barcelona's midfield will be all set for years to come.

With that, let's take a look at the players who may leave the Blaugrana in the summer:

3. Denis Suarez

Barcelona bought back Denis Suarez after selling him to Villareal for just one season. With his arrival, many thought he could challenge for a place in the starting XI for years to come. But that hasn't exactly been the case for the young Spaniard and his recurrent injury problems have further stunted his progress at the Camp Nou.

With the arrival of Frenkie and the already stacked midfield consisting of Arthur, Alena, and Riqui Puig in the ranks, it is highly unlikely for Denis to make an impact at the Camp Nou and it is very much possible he may leave the Blaugrana in the next summer.

With reported interest from Arsenal over loan deals, he may as well consider it as that is the only way for him to get game time in an otherwise stacked Barcelona squad. Still only 25, he can surely go about to rejuvenate his career which has been shunned over the past few seasons

2. Rafinha

Rafinha returned from Inter Milan in the summer and he was expected to play a bit part role for the Blaugrana. This season, he started featuring much more and looked lively whenever on the pitch. He also started ahead of Ousmane Dembele when Lionel Messi was injured and things were looking good for the Brazilian international.

But just when things were going good, he got himself injured, this time the Cruciate Ligament and he is sidelined for the rest of the campaign. With much more added competition and no assurance of game time, it is time for Rafinha to leave the Catalan outfit and look for a fresh start elsewhere.

Still only 25, he surely has a lot more to offer and when used properly, he can be devastatingly good like he showed against Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League group stage fixture, when he stepped up in the absence of Messi.

1. Ivan Rakitic

Ivan Rakitic played a crucial part in Barcelona's LaLiga title run last season as he featured in 35 games for the club. He is still an integral part of Ernesto Valverde's plans as he has featured 29 times this season already for Barcelona in all competitions.

Now 30, it may be time for Rakitic to take a bit part role given the arrival of youth or leave the club. It will be better for him to leave rather than being fringed out of the squad as he is too good of a player to be left out.

With a club like PSG missing out on Frenkie, they may go on to get Rakitic to fill the void which will be left by Rabiot, who has allegedly expressed his desire to leave and henceforth not renewed his contract with the club.
