The Stamford Bridge side has been given a two transfer window ban from registering new players. It means Chelsea can sign players but these new players cannot play on the pitch for them. Though Chelsea have appealed against the decision but legal matters take time.

If CAS uphelds the ban the Blues may be banned for three windows for delaying the transfer embargo. Such a ban is unprecedented but if it happens it would be worse for the Blues than it is presently.

In such a situation if Chelsea sack Sarri and bring in a new manager, he will not be able to sign new players. Then the new manager, if he fails to achieve his targets, could very well defend himself by saying that he could not sign the players he needed.

Thus, Chelsea would be back to square one and sacking Sarri would seem redundant. Also, he knows this squad well now and they are beginning to adapt to his football. The ideas of a new manager will take time and Chelsea could struggle again.

The fact that this squad knows his football and most often, teams under new managers improve in the manager's second season after having understood a certain philosophy. The prime examples of it being Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool and Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham Hotspur.
