Jurgen Klopp is right now in his fourth season in charge of Liverpool. There were times when it was questioned whether he was the right man to lead Liverpool or not, as well as when he will bring trophies.

But right now it seems like he is the right man to lead them to glory. Last season they qualified for the Champions League as well as reached the final. This season they are challenging Pep Guardiola's mighty Manchester City and are in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

The former Borussia Dortmund manager has not only managed to make Liverpool play brilliant attacking football, but at the same time, he has also managed to develop one of the best squads in Europe.

They have good depth in all areas except attack, and though Xherdan Shaqiri was brought in for this reason, he has not been convincing enough, neither has Daniel Sturridge. Thus, Liverpool would want new faces in attack to add more depth and quality, so that they can challenge for trophies next season as well.

Here are 5 forwards Liverpool could target for next season.

#5 Paulo Dybala (Juventus)

The Juventus forward is one of the most highly rated forwards in world football. He has won three Serie A titles and three Copa Italia's as well. He has a deadly left foot, and he has got great dribbling skills as well.

This season his goal scoring rate has reduced drastically and he was also dropped for Juve's biggest game of the season so far against Atletico Madrid.

If reports are believed to be true, the Reds are pushing hard to get a deal agreed for the former Palermo forward. But they are likely to face competition from various clubs across Europe.

Dybala can play in various positions and he can add also fill the #10 playmaker role left by Phillipe Coutinho. At the age of 25, he has plenty to offer and he has also got plenty of experience playing at the top level.

#4 James Rodriguez (Real Madrid)

The Colombian will be one of the hottest properties in the transfer market if he refuses to move to Bayern Munich or if Bayern does not sign him. Since the return of Zinedine Zidane to Real Madrid, it has become clear that James will be sold, as they will look to rebuild their squad.

The former Porto midfielder is very versatile, as he can play as a playmaker, as a winger, and even as a midfielder. His technique is excellent and at the same time, he is good at crossing and creating chances.

According to reports, Los Blancos want more money than had been agreed with Bayern, to overhaul the squad. Thus they would prefer to sell him to another club, Liverpool have been linked with a move for him alongside Arsenal and Manchester United.

James can add a new dimension to Liverpool's lethal attack and at the same time, his ability to play in the midfield would add more options for Jurgen Klopp. At the age of 27, he is hitting his peak form as well.

#3 Steven Bergwijn (PSV)

The Dutch international is currently playing in the Eredivisie for PSV. He is only 21 years old and plays as a winger. The youngster is a tricky winger and he has already won two Eredivisie titles as well.

This season he has scored 12 goals and provided a further 13 assists in all competitions. He has a great ability to hold the ball when running with pace towards defenders.

The winger could be one of the most wanted youngsters in the transfer market. While Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, reportedly wants the winger at Anfield next season, Manchester United have also been linked with a move for him.

If Liverpool signs him, he should provide excellent cover for Sadio Mane and Mohamad Salah. In the current squad, Jurgen Klopp has no real cover for both his star players. Klopp's track record with young players indicates that the winger should thrive at Anfield.

#2 Maximiliano Gómez (Celta Vigo)

The Uruguayan international plays for LaLiga side Celta Vigo who are currently in a relegation battle. But despite their struggles, Maxi has been a standout player for them this season, with his good performances.

He has been dubbed by many as the next 'Luis Suarez' as well. The 22-year-old is very good at attacking the ball with his head and he also protects the ball very well.

The Reds are believed to be keen on making a £35 million swoop for the forward. Also, their case could be further strengthened if Celta Vigo is relegated this season. West Ham was linked with a move for him but a move never really materialised.

Jurgen Klopp could really benefit from his heading ability, as it would add one more potent weapon in Liverpool's fearsome attack, as they currently lack a strong presence up front in the air.

#1 Timo Werner (RB Leipzig)

The German international burst onto the scene when he had his breakthrough season of 2016-17, where he scored 21 goals for RB Leipzig. Since then he hasn't looked back and he has continued to improve himself every season.

Werner has been blessed with a terrific amount of pace and he has goalscoring instincts as well. At the age of 23, his best days are yet to come and he is likely to be a superstar in the future.

The Reds have reportedly made contact with the German side for Werner, who is expected to leave the Red Bull Arena in future. Though, other German giants like Bayern Munich and Dortmund are also expected to be in the race for his signature.

His goalscoring abilities are well known, and if Jurgen Klopp manages to get the best out of him, the Reds will have perfect competition for Roberto Firmino, while his arrival would undoubtedly add more firepower to Liverpool's attack.
