Ex Newcastle United teammates Lee Bowyer and Kieron Dyer were sent off during the match as they started trading blows at each other. This was one of the most bizarre incidents which happened on the football pitch. Newcastle were 3-0 down to Aston Villa at St James Park when Bowyer and Dyer started throwing punches at each other.

Newcastle were already 10 men before they were reduced to 8 men as Steven Taylor was sent off for deliberately handling the ball to save the goal.

Dyer told Chronicle they traded blows after he told his team-mate 'he was 's***'.
