The veteran Argentine international is entering his final year of contract at Lazio. He has been a crucial player for the Rome-based club since joining in 2013 from RSC Anderlecht. The 31-year-old captain is looking forward to signing a new deal amidst rumours of him finding greener pastures to fulfil his want of winning silverware.
He was linked to Chelsea in January and is being again linked to the Blues as Antonio Conte is reportedly a huge fan of the player. He's also being tracked by the likes of Manchester United, PSG, and Real Madrid. Both the Milan clubs who've invested heavily in recent times are also reportedly trying to close down on him so that he can be a part of their resurgence, both in Italy as well as Europe.
The 49 times capped Argentine defensive playmaker is currently valued at €20 Million. However, a transfer fee in the range of €15-18 million might just be enough to lure him away from Rome.
