Timo Werner has been linked with a move away from RB Leipzig for 12 months. Bayern was thought of as his most likely destination, but as things stand, a move to Bayern doesn't look like something that could happen. As a result, the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United have entered the race to sign the talented youngster. Leipzig's manager has said:
“Our position has not changed: we do not want him to go into the last year of his contract without an extension.”
His contract will expire at the end of the next season, which will make him a free agent. So, RB Leipzig will look to cash in on the German international this summer. He has said in the past that he would love to represent Manchester United, and it could happen this season. The former VFB Stuttgart player scored 19 goals and assisted 10 in 37 games this season.
At 23 years of age, he could be a long-term player for the English giants.
