#3 Paul Pogba

One of the other major signings Real Madrid could target in the upcoming transfer window is Manchester United star Paul Pogba.

With just 12 months remaining on his contract, the midfielder's future at Old Trafford has again been a source of constant speculation. The fact that his agent Mino Raiola claimed he would look to leave the club in 2021 has only added fuel to the fire.

If Pogba doesn't sign a new contract, the Frenchman could become one of Real Madrid's potential new signings. The 28-year-old has previously admitted that playing for Los Blancos would see him achieve a lifelong ambition.

Pogba would certainly fit in at Real Madrid and would provide added dynamism to the team. With Luka Modric turning 36 this year, Pogba would be a perfect replacement for the Croatian star and could form an excellent partnership with Toni Kroos and Casemiro in midfield.

#2 Pau Torres

With the departure of both Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane this summer, Real Madrid will look to make new signings for the centre-back position. According to reports, Villarreal defender Pau Torres ranks high on the list of defenders linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Torres had an excellent campaign with Villarreal, helping them win the Europa League by beating Manchester United in the final. He was also involved in Spain's run to the Euro 2020 semi-finals. To date, the player has made 87 appearances for the Yellow Submarine, chipping in with five goals and four assists as well.

Real Madrid have already signed David Alaba to bolster their defense, however the Austrian international is likely to be a replacement for Sergio Ramos. As such, Real Madrid still need to look for other potential signings to replace Raphael Varane at the back.

Villarreal are reportedly ready to cash-in on Torres and it remains to be seen if Real Madrid will take definitive steps to make the defender one of their new signings.

#1 Kylian Mbappe

While all the other signings will definitely please Real Madrid fans, it is Kylian Mbappe who they look forward to the most.

The 22-year-old has entered the last year of his contract at PSG and has yet to indicate interest in an extension. The situation has kept the La Liga heavyweights interested and the Frenchman is reportedly Real Madrid's No.1 target this summer.

Los Blancos are reportedly waiting to hear the result of PSG's negotiations with Mbappe before deciding on how to continue their pursuit of the forward.

Mbappe has featured in 172 games for PSG, scoring 132 goals and assisting a further 62 since joining from Monaco in 2017. He has won three Ligue 1 titles at the club, while also helping them reach their first-ever Champions League final.

Mbappe would definitely be an upgrade over the likes of Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale, who have failed to live up to expectations. It remains to be seen whether Los Blancos will pursue Mbappe this summer or wait for his contract to expire and sign him for free next season.
