Manchester City comfortably beat Schalke 04 by 7-0 to reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League . After a convincing victory in the first leg, City completely out played Schalke in the second leg and advance to the next round with 10-2 aggregate score.

This is not the first time City has completely outplayed their opponents, rather this is becoming a habit of Manchester City. The Citizens have already won the EFL Cup by beating Chelsea in a penalty shootout.

They are currently at the top of the Premier League, will face Swansea in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and are in the quarter-finals of UEFA Champions League. So, right at this moment, everything is going right for City.

In the EFL Cup semi-final first leg, Manchester City beat Burton Albion 9-0. This is City's biggest win this season. Burton Albion plays in League One (3rd tier), and they reached the semi-finals by beating Middlesbrough in the quarterfinals.

Manchester City were the favourites to win the match, but nobody expected a scoreline of 9-0. Kevin De Bruyne scored the opening goal in the fifth minute and Gabriel Jesus scored a fantastic four in the game. Manchester City was placed in the group F of UEFA Champions League. During matchday four they hosted Shakhtar Donetsk. The Ukrainian side had won the Ukranian Premier league in 2018.

Manchester City broke the deadlock in the 13th minute courtesy of a David Silva goal. The home team didn't look back and scored five more goals. Brazilian striker, Gabriel Jesus scored a hattrick for City, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez were the other goal-scorers on the night.

Manchester City hosted German side Schalke 04 in the second leg of UEFA Champions League round of 16. The first leg had ended with a scoreline of 3-2 in favour of Manchester City.

In the second leg, City trashed Schalke 7-0. City's number 10, Sergio Aguero opened the account for Manchester City with a spot kick in 35th minute. He again scored in 38th minute. Leroy Sane scored again against his former team in the 42nd minute after scoring a fantastic freekick in the first leg.

Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden and Gabriel Jesus were the other goalscorers for Manchester City.

Chelsea are one of the finest teams in the Premier League, however, they have been struggling this season. Chelsea visited Etihad Stadium for match-day 26 to play Manchester City in the Premier League. Manchester City are currently one of the best teams in Europe and they proved that by trashing Chelsea by 6-0. This was the worst defeat faced by the Chelsea in recent years.

City completely outplayed Chelsea in every aspect of the game. Raheem Sterling scored the opening goal in the fourth minute. However, the highlight of the match was Sergio Aguero's hat-trick. Aguero scored in the 13th, 19th and 59th minutes. Ilkay Gundogan also contributed to the scoreline. Chelsea only had four shots on target in the match. whereas, City had nine and a ball possession of 55.8%.

City currently sit at the top of the Premier League and they would be hoping for a back to back Premier League title. However, Liverpool is just one point short of City and are not in a mood to give up their dream of winning the Premier League.
