One can never really know what happened here. According to Redmond, Guardiola was actually complimenting him for his display.

Redmond wrote on his Twitter:

"I felt I had to say something and clear a few things that are floating around right now.

"Yes, he was very passionate, intense and aggressive but he was only very complimentary and positive to me.

"He commented on my qualities as a young English player and how he wanted me to attack his team more during the game in a similar way to last season.

Erm… what? It is very difficult to picture this around what the video is displaying. Guardiola seemed completely animated after Raheem Sterling’s 96th-minute winner against Southampton earlier this season.

Even if he was praising him, there was perhaps a better way to do it that throwing your arms all around the park and causing a storm from it.
