Just before last night, Pep Guardiola’s men were being backed to win a quadruple this season. After all, his team looked seemingly unbeatable and third-tier Wigan are just too far behind the Citizens, which is not entirely embarrassing since even most Premier League clubs are.

Not even in their wildest dreams did people even hope for Wigan to beat Pep Guardiola’s men. On Monday, however, they beat the giants and ousted them from the FA Cup—crushing their quadruple dreams.

At the cusp of half-time, Pep Guardiola was furious at the referee for showing Fabian Delph a red card for his lunging tackle on Wigan midfielder Max Power. What irked the Catalan the most is that the referee initially brought out his yellow card, but then showed the red instead.

Guardiola was fuming and he showed his wrath in the tunnel during half-time as he had a go at Wigan manager Paul Cook and was seen shouting at his players to rush to the dressing room.
