Although it is difficult to imagine Barcelona losing these days, let alone by 11 goals to one, Sevilla managed to achieve this feat way back in the 1940-1941 La Liga season.
Barcelona had taken the lead in the tenth minute only to be annihilated with a barrage of goals from Sevilla, who started scoring in the 23rd minute and scored their last goal in the 83rd minute, finishing with eleven goals to Barcelona’s one.
Inspite of this heavy defeat, Barcelona ended up fourth while Sevilla finished fifth.
