How was the Transfer Window for Liverpool FC?
Decent. Perhaps not active enough just yet, but that will change, with up to 5 players linked pretty heavily with Liverpool FC at the moment. I reckon Fabio Borini was a really smart buy, whilst Joe Allen would be a perfect fit at Anfield (he could just fill the void that Xabi Alonso left when he went off to Real Madrid. Lots of similarities there). Gaston Ramirez is a talented player as well, so all’s well in the transfer window. Perhaps, I would like some of those players on huge wage packages to pack their bags before the window closes though.
Best Signing of the Transfer Window (all clubs)?
That has got to be Eden Hazard. I’m not quite sure about the fee, but I do know of Hazard’s potential. A supremely gifted player, and one that will shake up the BPL and perhaps close that gap between the Premier League and the La Liga. Lots of tricks up his bag.
Liverpool’s Target
Champions League football. Simple as that.
Where they’ll probably finish
A realistic final placing would be 5th or 6th. Liverpool are just into their first year of yet another new manager’s tenure, so a 5th or 6th placed finish won’t be a disaster. The Reds just need a good season which can be a platform to work from in the coming years.
The Key Man
It’s really got to be Luis Suarez. He’s the magician with the ball and will be the one that Liverpool FC will hope can bring much needed creativity to their football.
Who will win the Premier League?
I’m predicting a Manchester City-Chelsea fight for the title this season. Chelsea have signalled their intent with new signings, whilst Manchester City have an already solid squad. It should be a close fight this year (although nothing can really top the proceedings from the final day of last season) and Manchester City should be able to pip their way to the title.
