Anelka and Juventus agree terms

Former Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka has agreed terms with the Italian club. It will see him stay at Juventus till the end of the season and then he will have the option to extend his stay by a further year.

The deal is expected to be around €600,000. With Llorente joining at the end of the season, Juventus were considering various options to strengthen their attack till that time.

Earlier, Juventus had a failed bid for Drogba. His Shanghai Shenhua team-mate Anelka has a been far more straightforward move and the Bianconeri have now finalised terms with the 33-year-old.

Anelka had been linked with a number of other top European clubs this month, including QPR and Paris Saint-Germain earlier in the transfer window.

The ace striker had terrorised defences during his glorious career at Chelsea and is still considered one of the top players.
