While Arsenal and Hull battled it out in the FA Cup final last night, they were united in their support for the 56 victims who lost their lives in the Valley Parade fire disaster on 11 May, 1985.

There was no official remembrance before the final, but that didn’t stop the fans of both teams to applaud for one entire minute in the second half when 56 minutes were on the clock.

Fans had got word of the gesture through various social media outlets and many fans stood up in the 56th minute to applaud and pay homage to the victims of the terrible tragedy.

Last week, both Bradford City and Lincoln (54 Bradford fans and 2 Lincoln fans lost their lives) together marked the 29th anniversary of the disaster.

Bradford City even thanked the fans of Arsenal and Hull City for showing their support.
