Arsenal's Mesut Ozil voted as best EPL signing of the season

Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil has been adjudged as the best signing of the season by fans in a poll conducted by the English Premier League’s official website.

Along with Ozil, Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, Crystal Palace midfielder Jason Puncheon, Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony and Tottenham starlet Christian Eriksen were also in contention of the award.

To everyone’s surprise, Ozil managed to amass almost 50% of the total votes, in spite of having an average season in comparison to Lukaku and Bony who have both been instrumental for their respective teams this season.

The commitment from Arsenal fans is surely worthy of praise, as they managed to get Ozil on top of a list even though Arsenal had to break their bank to pay for the German’s hefty£42.5million price tag.
