Arsenal Transfer Rumours: Hector Bellerin a target for Pep Guardiola's Manchester City

Hector Bellerin could be another star to switch Arsenal for Manchester City

Manchester City are reportedly in for Arsenal right-back, Hector Bellerin. The 21-year-old had an outstanding season with the Gunners last time around and was even including in the PFA Team of the Year.

Arsene Wenger rebuffed Barcelona's attempt to sign the Catalan-born defender earlier this month but with Pep Guardiola now at the helm of Manchester City, a move to the Citizens could perspire later this window.

The Frenchman is adamant that the Spaniard is not for sale ruling it out on multiple occasions when asked but the youngster is reportedly interested in moving to Manchester City as confirmed by one of his entourage members to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo. "He is happy at Arsenal... but the option of City exists, it pleases him and what's more, Pep (Guardiola) is there," he said.

Arsenal will not have to sell Bellerin to a rival in the Premier League and especially Manchester City given the number of players the club have poached from the Gunners in recent seasons. Samir Nasri, Bacary Sagna, Gael Clichy and Emmanuel Adebayor have all switched the Emirates for the Etihad in recent years with Wenger often harshly criticised for all of them.

Manchester City are on the verge of a massive shakedown with Pep Guardiola in charge. Having already signed the likes of Ilkay Gundagon, Nolito, Oleksandr Zinchekov and Aaron Mooy, the Spaniard is in the market to sign more players and technical ones at that.

Having already signed an Arsenal player in Mikel Arteta – albeit in a coaching role – this season, he's looking to sign more Spanish players to ensure his hold on the team and his methods trickle down faster resulting in more promising results.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are in the market to sign more players and are ensuring that they don't let go of any of their current stars having finished the season in second behind surprise-winners Leicester City. The Gunners are in the market for a striker and a centre-back this season amongst other positions.
