Monaco Player Ratings

Monaco produced one of their best comebacks in recent memory
Monaco produced one of their best comebacks in recent memory

Vito Mannone - 6/10

There was nothing the former Arsenal goalkeeper could've done about both PSG goals. He ended the match with two shots saves.

Chrislain Matsima - 7/10

The 18-year-old held his ground against Mbappe down the right flank. He won two tackles and completed 80% of his passes.

Axel Disasi - 7/10

Disasi, back in the lineup today, was a rock in the defense, making four tackles, three clearances, and two interceptions. However, he could've done better to prevent Mbappe's opening goal.

Benoît Badiashile - 7/10

The 19-year-old complemented Disasi well and besides a one poor pass towards the end of the first-half which led to Mbappe's disallowed goal, he was solid. He made six interceptions on the night — the most by any player — and also three clearances.

Fodé Ballo-Touré - 6/10

Arguably the weakest link in the defense today, Ballo-Toure left a lot to be desired on both ends of the pitch.

Sofiane Diop - 7/10

A calming presence in the midfield. He made some good passes and also tested Navas early on with a good effort.

Aurélien Tchouaméni - 7.5/10

The youngster had a great night in central midfield for Monaco and made a huge impact in both boxes. He was involved in both of Volland's goals, completed seven dribbles, two tackles and three interceptions. Colossal performance from the teenager.

Youssouf Fofana - 7/10

A mixed bag of a night for Fofana. He conceded a penalty early on but was heavily involved in the attack, as he completed three key passes and dribbles apiece.

Gelson Martins - 6.5/10

Attacking-wise, he offered little but was crucial defensively, as he attempted to break PSG's play with four tackles and one interception. Martins, however, was dribbled past more often than any other player on the pitch.

Willem Geubbels - 6/10

Monaco created a few chances in the first half, but Guebbels was non-existent throughout. He failed to muster a single shot on goal and was hooked at the break for Fabregas.

Kevin Volland - 8.5/10

Arguably his best night for Monaco since arriving from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer. Volland was at the heart of the fairytale comeback, as he netted twice in quick succession to bring his side level before winning the decisive penalty.

Monaco Substitutes

Cesc Fabregas - 7.5/10

An inspired substitution from Kovac, as the former Barcelona and Chelsea man assisted Volland's equalizer and dispatched the match-winning penalty with aplomb.

Caio Henrique Oliveira Silva - 6.5/10

The Brazilian made his Monaco debut by coming off the bench at half-time with Fabregas but unlike him, he failed to have any sort of impact in the game.

Florentino Luis - N/A

The first of three players to be introduced after the end of normal time, Luis didn't see much of the ball to warrant a rating.

Stevan Jovetic - N/A

He was subbed on in the second minute of stoppage time and barely had a touch of the ball.

Eliot Motazo - N/A

He came on for the final few seconds of the match and barely got a whiff of the ball.
