Atletico Madrid could launch a double raid on Chelsea

According to recent reports Diego Simeone has money to spend this summer and has identified two Chelsea players as primary targets as he looks to bolster his squad for the coming La Liga season. Filipe Luis and Mohamed Salah are the players he wants to sign.

Now you can understand the Filipe Luis interest because at this point, we have to be honest and state that things haven't exactly worked out as he would have wanted in London after his big money move a year ago.

Having to settle for life on the bench for the most part, playing second fiddle to Cesar Azpilicueta who was again outstanding has led to constant speculation that the player would like to return to Atletico as quickly as possible.

Whether or not the club would allow something like that to happen is another thing but maybe a loan arrangement could be made. In saying that, as we know, Chelsea would want to seal the signing of a replacement before he would be allowed to leave.

Mo Salah is the second player Simeone wants to take to Atletico and you have to wonder what is going on with the player. Reports that he had an agreement for an additional year with Fiorentina, who in turn wanted to take up that option to which the player has refused, now legal action being threatened? You really have to wonder what is going to happen to the Egyptian winger.

We have heard that numerous clubs across Europe are in for him this summer after his exploits in Italy but it's believed that the player favours a move to La Liga.

Could that mean a deal with Atletico could be about to happen to which you would have to believe that Chelsea would favour?
