Cesc Fabregas for sale?

Barcelona have made it clear to Premier League clubs that Cesc Fabregas is for sale and can be bought for a fee of £30 million, according to The Telegraph,

Clubs like Arsenal, his former club, Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United have been told that he is available, although the club president Josep Bartomeu had earlier claimed that the midfielder was not for sale.

The 27-year-old moved to Barcelona in 2011 after spending eight seasons at Arsenal. And Fabregas is reportedly readying himself for a Camp Nou exit.

Arsenal will be in pole position because of the buy-back clause they inserted into the contract when he was sold to Barcelona but that would also depend on whether Fabregas would want to return to the Emirates.

Manchester United stated that they are not considering a new bid for the Spanish midfielder even though he has been heavily linked to an Old Trafford move in the past. It is understood that Manchester City want to sign him to bolster the midfield should Yaya Toure leave the club.

The fact that he joined Arsenal at 16 is also an incentive as it would make him a home-grown player in the squad and would nout come under the microscope where Fiancial Fair Play regulations are concerned.

Fabregas is currently on £100,000 per week – wages that can be afforded by all clubs chasing his signature. He had 13 goals and 14 assists for Barcelona last season in all competitions.
