The latest person Barcelona have added to their wishlist is Manchester City’s Vincent Kompany.
With Carlos Puyol’s glorious career at the Camp Nou coming to an end, Barcelona are scouring the globe to find a suitable replacement for the defender. Vincent Kompany is the latest player to be added to the Catalan’s list of possible replacements for the iconic defender.
Currently 35, Puyol has served the Catalans throughout his career and has won a total of 18 trophies with the team – the most notable titles being three UEFA Champions League titles and five La Ligas titles. But the days of the Spanish international as the captain of Barcelona are numbered.
It is understood that the Manchester City Sporting Director, Txiki Begiristain, has been informed of Barcelona’s interest in the Belgian international.
Apart from Vincent Kompany, Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels and Chelsea‘s David Luiz have also attracted the attention of the Spanish giants.
