For someone of the quality of Manuel Neuer, tonight was a poor showing from the Bayern Munich shotstopper. We’ve been spoilt by the 34-year-old’s performances over the years as he has wowed us with not only his shot-stopping ability but his confidence on the ball. Against a Chelsea team that were mainly restricted to snapshots, Neuer didn’t cover himself in glory.

For Callum Hudson-Odoi’s disallowed goal, the German allowed the tame shot to go over his hands in a poor attempt at a save. A couple of minutes later, he would be at fault for Chelsea’s opener, as he would parry a cross right into the path of Tammy Abraham to tap in. If he hadn't made the mistake, he could have kept a clean sheet.

#2 Hit: Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich)

It’s a shame that this year’s Ballon d’Or was cancelled as Robert Lewandowksi was all but guaranteed to win the award. The Bayern Munich striker has been in scintillating form this season scoring 54 goals in 44 games. If we include assists, then the 31-year-old has directly been involved in 62 goals in 44 games. Tonight, he proved his class once again with a stunning performance.

The world-class striker scored a vital penalty early in the game and then had the composure to set up Ivan Perisic for the second. At the age of 31, Lewandowski showed tonight that he’s more than just an in the box striker but a complete forward that brings others into the game too. In the second half, Lewandowski would net a second goal and provide another assist, what can’t this man do?

#1 Flop: Callum Hudson-Odoi (Chelsea)

For a player that was once put in the same bracket as Jadon Sancho, it’s been a heavy fall from grace for Callum Hudson-Odoi this season. The 19-year-old has only scored 3 goals in 33 apps in a season that has been marred by injuries and off the pitch controversy.

With Willian, Cristian Pulisic & Pedro all out injured, Lampard had no choice but to give the youngster a chance tonight. Unfortunately, the highly-rated winger didn’t take his chance. Apart from a disallowed goal, the 19-year-old showed nothing of note as he only made 13 passes, created 1 chance and lost possession 12 times.
