Lucas Paqueta has been impressive for Brazil in the group stage fixtures. His consistency paid off hugely tonight as the midfielder found the back of the net within 60 seconds of coming onto the pitch.

He replaced Firmino after the break, with the Liverpool striker missing a couple of chances in a tightly contested first 45 minutes. For their part, Chile defended well. But Paqueta's quick feet and skills helped him get behind the defenders to score the goal.

The one-two with Neymar was the key to the creation of the goal and Tite might consider giving Paqueta a spot in the starting XI after his impressive performance tonight.

#2 Gabriel Jesus is sent off for Brazil at the Copa America again

Gabriel Jesus had a decent outing for Brazil in the first half, with his effort just before the half-time break calling Claudio Bravo into action. He combined well with Neymar in the final third and the duo were expected to provide the spark for Brazil in a tight game.

Unfortunately, the Manchester City striker's appearance was cut short just three minutes after the restart, that too just moments after Brazil had taken the lead.

His eyes were on the ball and in his efforts to collect it, his boots landed directly on the face and shoulder of Mena, in a freak accident. Jesus was shown a red card straight away. This marked the second consecutive edition of the Copa America in which he had been shown a red card.

He was also sent off in the 2019 final against Peru. However, before receiving his marching orders, Jesus scored once in Brazil's 3-1 win.

#1 It's all about Neymar for Brazil

Neymar once again found himself at the heart of Brazil's attacking play against Chile. With hopes of a back-to-back triumph at the Copa America at home resting on him, the 29-year-old has stepped up to the occasion.

The Paris Saint-Germain star was ruled out of the 2019 edition with an ankle injury and could not be part of Brazil's title-winning run. But he has taken it upon himself to carry his side all the way to glory this time around.

He created several chances for his teammates in the game, including one each for Firmino and Jesus in the first half. Neymar was also crucial to Paqueta's goal, playing a smart one-two move with the midfielder to allow him to get into a good goalscoring position.

If he can continue his form all the way to the final, he will be the frontrunner for the MVP award in the 2021 edition.
